Latvian innovation and technology representative office Lat.Tech started its work in Brussels in April. This is the first Latvian representative office whose focus is on technology. The goal is to strengthen the positions of Latvian companies and research institutes in cooperation projects of international organisations.

The representative office will act as a smart filter for Latvian innovative companies and research organisations in the Horizon Europe programme to support and involve them in the international consortia. An important task of the representative office will be to join the family of similar offices in other countries, as well as to highlight Latvia's excellence in smart specialisation in the environment of Brussels lobbies and decision-makers.

European fund programmes are of two types. Some can be applied for in Latvia, while others can be applied for in Brussels, and they differ in that they are focused on international cooperation. Mostly these programmes are intended for large cooperation projects. The representative office in Brussels will help you familiarise yourself with the various programmes, recommend the most suitable ones, as well as provide support in finding partners.
